For example, cycle across the Hilversum Heath, right through the lakes, or towards historical gems such as Slot Zuylen and authentic windmills. Walking enthusiasts can stroll through nearby villages such as Breukelen and Loenen aan de Vecht, or choose the popular Zoddenpad, a varied route that takes you from the vast polders to deep in the woods.
Klompenpad Zoddenpad
If you love hiking through beautiful nature you should also be near the Loosdrechtse Plassen. One of the most famous hiking trails in this area is the klompenpad Zoddenpad.
- The Zoddenpad is a route of 13 kilometers, can be extended to a route of 18 kilometers.
- Along the route you will find a varied, but always typical Dutch landscape.
- Enjoy the peace and quiet and the views while exploring the beautiful countryside of Tienhoven and Westbroek.
Cycling along water and country houses
The surroundings of the Loosdrechtse Plassen are ideal for exploring by bicycle. The smallest tour around the lake is about 25 km. Large parts of the route you cycle along the lakes and beautiful canals with the many bridges. But you can also enjoy the gigantic country houses along the route. In addition, you will encounter some castles on this route such as Sypesteyn Castle and the Nyenrode Business University which is located in a castle.
